Ruger is safely out of quarantine and on his way to his forever home with Vanessa Taylor of Kanati Whippets. A Special THANK YOU to Michael Foley, the president of Global Animal Transport for making this process go so well. His company truly cares about the safety and welfare of ALL animals!

 When we take away the glamorous ads, big name handlers and rankings to just LOOK at the actual dogs before us with their pedigrees we can truly open our eyes. When people claim that they have a "line" of dogs, are they just stating that they artfully put 2 dogs together and/or lucked out with the results? To have an actual line, a breeder must establish dogs that go far back into pedigrees to see their name again with some success in Performance and/or Conformation events, stamping a mark of quality in various ways. A new kennel name can obscure those behind a dog and so we must always open up the pedigree to see who worked so hard before us. We are quite appreciative of those who have dedicated their lives to maintain the lovely pedigrees that make up the dogs residing at TripleStar Hounds, great people with the kennel names such as Chelsea Whippets, Festiva Whippets, Sporting Fields, and Summit Whippets, just to name a few. We are also quite honored to have gained wonderful mentors along the way who seek to educate rather than control every decision we make. We hope to continue to honor these great kennels with what will sparingly be produced under our name. We will not be taking "congratulations" to any success as merely our own achievements when this is so clearly a group effort by those who cherish the breed. Hobby kennels are the future and we are all investing much of our time and finances into this labor of love.

When good dogs are presented, no matter who is showing them or what name they carry, we should recognize that such nice specimens exist and continue to strive for better. We must all be honest and look to the merits, while weighing the faults of our dogs to move forward with a plan. There will never truly be a "perfect" dog to please every opinion, but our dogs see us as perfect and offer their endless love. The experiences we have in the dog show world can teach us so much about our REAL lives, human nature, character and beyond...Certain people and dogs may come and go, but the best dogs and genuine good people will rise to the top. Of course, some may be buying their way to wins, but that can only get them so far for their ego. I can only step back and chuckle at the animosity seen between certain different "kennels" and the breaking and joining of various partnerships. At the end of the day, all of our dogs are one breed and most are all related by the same great foundations behind them. May the good people continue to protect our breeds from the animal rights agenda that seeks to destroy them. May we all mentor the new generations to continue the proud legacy of our breeds. Let us all work together, for the love of our hounds.

After several delays, Am Ch TripleStar Son of a Gun, JC - "Ruger" (Now Imp. USA)  has safely arrived in Australia, and after a brief 10 days in Quarantine, he will go to his forever home with Vanessa Taylor of Kanati Whippets and Greyhounds! We all love him and will miss him but it is a great honor that he has done so well in the USA and is off to spread his joy abroad! It was a great TEAM effort! A hearty thank you to everyone involved for loving Ruger, driving him all over and socializing him perfectly. A special thanks to our friend Cindi Gredys (Jubilee Hounds) for assisting in Ruger's fantastic show career and allowing Ruger to have a date with the lovely top 20 and multi-group placing GCH Bohem Bianca of Jubilee, SC ! His babies have the same exuberance as their daddy and will hit the show rings soon in the US. We are blessed to have such wonderful people and dogs in our life to share in the journey! Ruger has a fantastic outgoing temperament, gets along with all animals and has never known a stranger. He has arrived as a healthy Cardiac-Echo NORMAL and CERF eyes NORMAL proven stud dog and we know that he will continue to make us proud with all of his future endeavors.
